"Room was large and well lighted, clean, way to use. But do not take the “breakfast” seriously. Good coffee, but the rest are mostly pre-packaged. Go to the Travellodge three blocks away for outstanding breakfast or to Sara, next door, for outstanding wine and Italian food!"

"The best feature of this hotel is it's location. It's an easy 10-minute drive to/from LAX, and just across the street from Westfield Mall in Culver City. You might expect more when you book a Sheraton hotel, but the minute you walk in the reception area, you realize that this is no-frills hotel. There's free coffee in the morning, and the hotel has a simple gym and pool area for its guests. The rooms are spacious enough, and the bathroom needs some upgrading (our toilet seat was installed in a crooked manner!)... For its price and location however, these are all forgivable - and it's a good option for those wanting to stay near LAX and/or be in Culver City. "

"Super 8 in Culver City had what we had come to expect from a Wyndham property: clean, spacious rooms and friendly staff. The location is reasonable; close to bus stops but getting around using the bus can take a while. The nearby intersection adds to the time required to get anywhere, as you need to cross 4 different streets to get to the other side of the road. We had a toilet back-up one morning. When I called the front-desk to help or send someone from maintenance, the housekeeping lady just handed me a plunger. It did the trick but expected someone from the property to assist. Quite pricey for what you get, but still cheaper than many other places in LA."

"We had a lovely 6 night stay at the Half Moon Motel. The location was great and we were close to Hollywood and Beverly Hills, as well as Venice Beach and Santa Monica. Even Long Beach (to visit The Queen Mary) was less than 30 minutes drive away, albeit on a Sunday. The room was a generous size, with a queen bed and small table with 2 chairs to work from. There was a microwave and fridge, which was convenient for quick meals and snacks, but a kettle would have been very welcome for making coffee in the mornings. However, a cafe just across the road took care of that need! The room was serviced daily and soap and shower gel was provided. We found the room to be larger and more luxurious than expected, considering the good value for money and location, and the fact that it is a 2-star motel. There was safe parking for a few cars - you may have to park in the street if you arrive back later in the day, but this was not a problem for us."
